Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Overview:
Trive South Africa is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to support our strategic growth in the South African market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving client acquisition, developing institutional and retail partnerships, and building strong relationships to support Trive’s mission of making investing accessible, intuitive, and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
Source and acquire new retail and institutional clients through proactive outreach, networking, and referrals.
Manage and grow a pipeline of prospects, convert leads into funded accounts.
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to drive retention and account growth.
2. Strategic Partnerships
Identify, negotiate, and onboard introducing brokers (IBs), financial advisers, and institutional partners.
Collaborate with the marketing and compliance teams to develop tailored partnership proposals and onboarding packages.
3. Market Development & Sales Execution
Drive sales performance to meet monthly and quarterly growth targets.
Monitor competitor offerings and market trends to position Trive’s value proposition effectively.
Represent Trive at financial expos, client seminars, webinars, and industry events.
4. Reporting & Performance Analysis
Maintain CRM records and provide regular reports on sales performance, lead conversions, and market feedback.
Work with management to refine business development strategies based on data insights.
5. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
Ensure that all onboarding activities and communications align with FSCA regulatory standards and internal policies.
Liaise with the legal and compliance teams to ensure proper documentation and due diligence.
Requirements:
2–5 years of experience in business development, specifically in CFD industry.
Strong knowledge of CFD's
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Preferred:
RE5 Certificate or equivalent FSCA-relevant regulatory qualification.
Existing network of IBs, partners, or financial advisers in South Africa.
Experience using CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.
